                             Winter 2007 Arbitron Ratings Released For Tampa Bay
         

05/03/08 - The winter 2007 Arbitron ratings for the Tampa Bay radio market have been released.
One of the biggest gains was WHPT-FM 102.5 who went from 18th to tie WFLZ-FM for third place
following their addition of the Bubba the Love Sponge show.

                                Don Imus Returning To Tampa Bay Airwaves

11/28/07 - Don Imus, fired by CBS Radio and removed from his morning show on MSNBC following
racist remarks is returning to Tampa Bay airwaves.
WTAN-AM 1340 has inked a deal with ABC Radio
Networks to carry the legendary radio host beginning December 3rd. Imus in the Morning will originate
from Citadel Broadcasting's
WABC-AM in New York City.
                                               WPOI-FM Program Director Exits

10/23/08 -  WPOI-FM 101.5 (101-5 The Point) Program Director Nick Sanders (aka Jeff Callahan) is
exiting the station at the end of October. Cox Radio, owner of WPOI is eliminating Sanders position.
Sanders has been with Cox Radio for the last 13 years and was previously the program director of
the former Jammin' Oldies 101.5 (WFJO) and Coast 107.3 WCOF (now 107-3 The Eagle WXGL).
Sanders was also consulting Cox Radio's other 80's stations.
                                       Cledus T. Judd Leaves WQYK-FM

12/10/07 - Cledus T. Judd, has left the "Cledus T. Party" morning show on WQYK-FM 99.5 and has
joined country
WUBL-FM 94.9 "94.9 The Bull" in Atlanta.  His last show on WQYK was Thursday
December 6th. Judd, who is originally from Atlanta, had eight months left on his contract with WQYK
but the station let him out of the deal so he could move closer to his ailing mom. WQYK is now
searching for a replacement  to join the morning show with country artist Chad Brock, and WQYK
veterans Steve Austin and Rita Ciccarello. Judd's first show on WUBL will be on Monday January 7th.
          Bubba To Return To Terrestrial Radio and Tampa Bay Airwaves                 

12/11/07 - Bubba The Love Sponge Clem, fired by Clear Channel Radio in 2003 and currently
hosting an afternoon show on
Sirius Satellite Radio will be returning to terrestrial radio and the
Tampa Bay Airwaves. On January 8th, Clem will take over the morning show on Cox Radio's
WHPT-FM 102.5 (The Bone) and WFYV-FM 104.5 (Rock 105) in Jacksonville. Clem will also
continue his afternoon show on SIrius Satellite Radio's Howard 101 from 3pm to 7pm.
Cowhead
(Mike Calta) the current morning personality on 102-5 The Bone will move to afternoons.
                          "The Fabulous Sports Babe" Returning to Tampa Bay

04/08/08 - Nanci Donnellan aka "The Fabulous Sports Babe" will be returning to Tampa Bay
radio. "The Babe" will be joining
Scot Brantley on WHBO-AM 1470 beginning April 11th from 3 to 6
pm. The show will be called "Brantley and the Babe".  Nanci is no stranger to Tampa Bay radio,
starting in 1981 at WNSI-AM, then later at WPLP-AM/WTKN-AM, and the market's first all sports radio
station WFNS-AM (Sportsradio 910). Nanci also had syndicated shows on the former Sports Fan
Radio Network and ESPN radio.
                                    Bubba The Love Sponge #1 in Morning Drive

05/03/08 - The Bubba The Love Sponge show carried out what they promised on their first show
back in the Tampa Bay market in January and went to the #1 morning show in the latest Arbitron
winter 2008 book. Bubba is #1 in the morning demo groups of 12+,18-34,18-49,25-54 and 35-64.
Bubba takes the top morning show rating from WFLZ-FM's MJ Morning show in a very tight race.
WFLZ's MJ filed suit against Cox Radio and Bubba over alleged comments that were made during
Bubba's show. That case is still pending in the court system. It has also been reported that the Bubba
the Love Sponge show will be syndicated beginning January 2009. The show is currently heard over
Cox Radio's WHPT-FM 102.5 (The Bone) in Tampa and WFYV-FM 104.5 (Rock 105) in Jacksonville.
